From Stingless Jelly Fish to Full Eclipse 2016

Mbuang-buang Village, Banggai Laut Islands, Luwuk.

Luwuk is capitol city of Banggai Islands which is in Central Celebes Province of Indonesia. This city has very beautiful beaches line. And more islands near to the cities with extraordinary under water view. And some islands has unique specialty that I will shows you thru my new camera SONY A7II and also my first mirrorless camera Olympus EPL-1 the old guy...and my borrow UW pocket camera Canon D30... hehehe.

Traveling from Jakarta to Luwuk is easy, just by flight. There is several flight to Luwuk from Jakarta, sure it will transit to Makasar for smaller airplane. My travel schedule from 5 to 9 March 2016, which the last day of the trip is the full eclipse in Luwuk City.

Itinerary as follows:

Jakarta to Luwuk by flight, make sure to arrived before 13:00 WIB to catch speed ferry to Salakan District at Peleng Island. After reach Salakan about 15:00 WIB, we rent a car from the port to another side of island, thats small long boat port called Tobing port. We use this " the called body boat" to other islands called Banggai Laut. Here we stay for a night and enjoy the night small city life, we also enjoy some fish barbecue restaurant and enjoy the seafood.

Next day we head with a rent speed boat to Mbuang-buang, our main destination. Here we stay a night. While a full day here, we visit the Paisu Batongan Lake where the stingless cute jelly fishes presents. Later on we go for hoping islands, snorkeling, visit one of island which the sources for fresh water due own spring water from the mountain, and also go to one of reefs conservation area. So many beaches and snorkeling spot for 2 days. But also one interesting, for lunch, we only bring cooked rice and some spicy, but the real main menu is the fishes that our guide catch with spears gun.....and sure some friends also collecting the little sea shells in the shore and we barbecue all.

The next day, continue hoping islands and we return to Banggai Laut, while on the speed boat, luckily we spot some dolphin crossing by and take a photo of them, unfortunately they gone so fast. Later stay for a night at Banggai Laut. We visit local market and see how people sells so many fresh fish and so cheap (compare to Jakarta).  And then next morning we return to Salakan. While at Salakan, we also visit one of unique sight seeing here, there is a spring of fresh water in the rocky cliff which direct to the sea, so when you close to the spring, you feel very cold water and fresh one, but when you get far more to the sea, you get warm water and salt one, here I tried to jump from one of 5 meter height rocky cliff...hahaha.

Following the same route back to Luwuk, then we stay a night at Luwuk. We have chances to go higher part of Luwuk city and see the night view of Luwuk city. And the next morning, joining the crowds (even some from Denmark) waiting for the full eclipse in Indonesia. Here in Luwuk is one of the longest full eclipse which almost 3 minutes long.

Okay then, after you read my long narratives bonus :p and having long imaginary stories, lets enjoy what my photography would love to says.....
